It is with great deep sadness that we share that our friend and colleague, John Wilson, passed away on December 7, 2025.
John loved his family deeply and lived his life with a servant's heart - a spirit which carried through to his work with FocusCFO. He was passionate about his work, especially the relationships he built with his clients over the years.
His clients and colleagues shared about the meaningful impact that John had during his time with FocusCFO:
John had a rare ability to blend his accounting expertise, educator’s heart, and genuine personality to build deep, lasting relationships with both clients and coworkers. He brought a steady, knowledgeable, and seasoned presence to everyone he worked with, and his background as an educator shone through in every interaction.
John, I miss you — and I know your clients miss you too.
— Mark Clower, Area President, FocusCFO
John was such a wonderful person and teacher. I appreciated his genuine spirit and really enjoyed the time we spent together.
He had so much accounting and financial experience and knowledge that he shared with me in such a humble way. I am grateful for all the time he gave to our company and the templates and plans he helped me put into place to make our company the best it can be.
— Meredith Lutz, Level MB
John was simply a joy to work with. He had an ability to remain calm and extremely focused; while also bringing humor to most any encounter.
John was exceptional at teaching; providing direction to client personnel and then helping them develop those skills during his relationship with them.
I will truly miss the opportunity to connect with John; especially to "dog him" about the UD Flyers.
— Jim Collins, Area President, FocusCFO
