About
Verlin has over 35 years of experience in finance, operations, and accounting. He has worked with both large corporations and small to mid-sized businesses, including running a family-owned business. His experiences include improving financial reporting, implementing automation and technology upgrades for efficiencies, cost reduction projects, and mergers and acquisitions. Verlin has worked in multiple industries, including financial services, healthcare, investment management, and insurance. Additionally, he has gained exposure to other industries through audit experiences.
Before FocusCFO
Prior to joining FocusCFO, Verlin served in CFO and COO roles for several companies, including JP Morgan. He also owned and operated a small business with his wife. Verlin began his professional career as a CPA with Ernst & Young after graduating with a BA in Accounting from Capital University in Bexley, Ohio. Additionally, he holds an MBA degree from The Ohio State University.
