Matt Cooksey serves as the Vice President of Community at FocusCFO, bringing over 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operational leadership. He is passionate about fostering strong relationships within the FocusCFO community and helping entrepreneurs build lasting connections that drive business success. Matt is dedicated to supporting the collaboration, engagement, and growth of FocusCFO Associates and clients alike. He lives in Kenwood, Ohio, with his wife, Sharyn, and their three children.
Before FocusCFO
Before joining FocusCFO, Matt built a diverse career leading financial operations across a range of industries and organizational structures, from private companies to non-profits and publicly traded corporations. He held roles including Auditor, Analyst, Controller, and CFO, developing expertise in areas such as cash flow management, operational analysis, financial reporting, and strategic planning. Matt’s background has given him a deep appreciation for the unique challenges entrepreneurs face and a passion for helping businesses achieve greater clarity, confidence, and growth.
