Prior to FocusCFO, Mark’s career was defined by high-impact leadership roles that required agility and strategic foresight. He spent significant time in the banking sector before transitioning to Kindred Healthcare, where he held senior leadership positions in corporate development, FP&A, and corporate finance. These roles taught him the importance of rigorous financial planning and the nuances of large-scale corporate structures.
Most recently, Mark served for six years as the CFO of a tech-enabled healthcare start-up. In this role, he didn’t just manage the books, he helped build the business, leading it to be recognized multiple times on the Inc. 5000 list. This experience gave him a deep appreciation for the unique pressure business owners face. It shaped his hands-on leadership style, equipping him to look past simple accounting fixes and drive the kind of operational changes that allow businesses to scale sustainably.
