John Maher

John brings over 15 years of experience working alongside privately held businesses across the U.S., combining a deep understanding of business processes and value creation with a passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed. Before stepping into his role as Area President, John spent 10 years as an investment banker with a primary focus on the healthcare sector, where he played a key role in advising small and medium-sized businesses through mergers and acquisitions and capital raising efforts.

Before FocusCFO

Before joining FocusCFO, John most recently served as a Director for Brentwood Capital Advisors, a leading independent investment bank specializing in delivering strategic and financial advisory services in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising for growth-oriented, middle-market companies. Prior to his role in banking, John was the Corporate Development Manager for Foundations Recovery Network, a premier behavioral health platform, prior to its sale to Universal Health Services. During John’s time at Foundations Recovery Network, he led cross-functional teams for new site development and expansion and served as a key member of the liquidity team during a successful sale process.
