About
John has more than 19 years of business, finance, and accounting experience in various industries including food & beverage, financial services, and public accounting. He became an entrepreneur and small business owner upon the opening of his first restaurant in 2013. Since that time, he has been responsible for implementing and maintaining many operational systems and processes across multiple growing business segments.

Prior to joining FocusCFO, John served as the CFO and co-founder of Mazunte, a multi-location food & beverage group headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. He previously worked at Fifth Third Bank specializing in SEC Reporting and Capital Markets Accounting within the Finance Department. John started his career in public accounting as an auditor for Grant Thornton servicing both private and public companies of varying sizes and industries.
John received his Master’s of Accounting from The University of Cincinnati and previously a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
