Dale brings more than 40 years of financial and operational leadership to the businesses he serves. Rooted in retail/distribution and shaped by roles spanning CFO to President, he developed a rare ability to see how every part of a business connects — and translate that into plain language owners can use. This includes experience in fundamental financial operations, day to day operations, business modeling, systems maximization and organizational structure. He's helped divided partnerships find common ground and struggling teams find their footing. When Dale moves on, owners do not just have better systems. They have clarity.
Before FocusCFO
Prior to FocusCFO, Dale built his career primarily in the retail industry, serving in senior roles including VP, CFO, COO, and President, where he was responsible for the overall financial health and growth of the organizations he led. These businesses were privately owned, subsidiaries and private equity owned. His work centered on strengthening gross profit, unlocking growth potential, and championing the systems and infrastructure needed to support a business as it scaled. Along the way, Dale learned that one of the greatest threats to any growing company is not the market — it's the silos that quietly form between departments, cutting off communication and stalling progress. That experience shaped a leadership philosophy grounded in listening, earning the trust of the people around him, and helping every part of a business work as one connected whole — exactly the kind of thinking that SMB owners need in a financial partner today. Dale graduated from Ohio University with a major in business and earned his MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
