About
Chip is an accomplished and results-driven finance and operations executive and business coach. He has over 40 years of experience in senior management positions as well as consulting, advisory and coaching roles for senior management. Chip's functional background includes finance, operations, business planning and product development. He is particularly skilled in strategic planning, financial and operational analysis, budget development, cash flow management and working with management to improve internal operating practices. Chip lives in Gates Mills, Ohio with his wife, Janet.
Before FocusCFO
Chip has been Managing Partner of The Pearce Group for several years, providing consulting and interim management services to small and mid-sized companies. In this role, Chip has worked with over 40 companies in a wide variety of industries, serving as interim CEO or CFO and/or providing consulting and advisory services, particularly for companies experiencing high growth or needing to undergo change to become more viable and competitive. Prior to this work, Chip was CFO and then head of operations for a small, high-growth healthcare products company. Prior to that, he was a consultant with a top-tier management consulting firm. Chip started his career with Ford Motor Company in the areas of product development and marketing.
Chip received an MBA from the University of Michigan and previously a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Lafayette College in Easton, PA. Chip is also a Certified Business Coach.
