Doug has more than 30 years of experience working with startups to Fortune 100 companies in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. He has assisted clients with streamlining business operations that drive growth and increase efficiency and profitability. He has also helped numerous clients with strengthening financial operations, accounting and financial reporting matters, team building, and M&A activities. Doug has worked with clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and technology. Doug lives with his wife Gail in Mars, Pennsylvania.
Doug led PwC’s Private Company Service (“PCS”) practice in Pittsburgh as well as served as an Assurance Partner responsible for the delivery of professional services to family-owned and private equity portfolio clients for 10 years. He also served as a Quality Management Partner responsible for consulting on complex matters impacting private companies across the United States. Prior to leading PCS, Doug led PwC’s Central Eastern Europe US Quality & Compliance group while on assignment in Budapest, Hungary from 2008 to 2010 and served as an Assurance Partner serving public companies from 2006 to 2008 in Pittsburgh.
Doug received a BA degree in accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. He also completed executive education programs focused on family businesses and innovation at Northwestern University and Carnegie Mellon University.
- What is your favorite way to spend free time? Playing competitive pickleball and platform tennis.
- What is your favorite movie? I am a huge movie fan so it’s hard to pick one, but The Dark Knight is one of my favorites.
- What was your favorite vacation? Hiking the Mighty 5 National Parks in Utah with my family.
