Before FocusCFO
Aaron started his career in public accounting working with privately held businesses between $10-$50M in revenue. After nine years, he left the public accounting industry to join his family business as the CFO. Soon after, he took on the role of President, leading the company through significant growth, both in revenue and profit. This led the business to be approached about an acquisition by a private equity backed, roll up of the industry. Although the company was not pursuing a sale, they received an offer that was in the best interest of the family, and they collectively decided to exit. Aaron led the company through the entire sale and acquisition process, resulting in the family successfully exiting the business. Following the sale, Aaron joined the new company’s executive team, leading the company in a Senior Executive FP&A role, as well as assisting in the operational integration of the eight businesses that consisted of fifteen operating facilities, all of which were purchased and consolidated.

to FocusCFO?
My father and both of my grandfathers were entrepreneurs. It is a role that I have always respected and aspired to be. Running our family business was one of the best experiences of my life, it put the hard work, risk tolerance, and dedication that entrepreneurs have into clear perspective. After selling our family business, I took the opportunity to think through how I wanted to impact the world with my God-given abilities. After a lot of reflection, I realized my passion is in serving others and entrepreneurship. FocusCFO gives me the ability to use my talents to impact a community I love, small business owners.
