Kevin Medved

With over 20 years of executive-level cinancial and operations experience for privately held companies, Kevin Medved possesses extensive industry knowledge in inventory management, warehousing, distribution, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, and retail auto sales.

Before FocusCFO

Prior to joining FocusCFO, Kevin spent 20+ years in privately held family owned companies as a member of their executive teams holding positions of CFO, COO and VP of Finance. Working with motivated business owners to develop high functioning leadership teams and processes to maximize value and profitability, most recentlyKevin has been in the warehousing, distribution and transportation industry. He also has prior experience in manufacturing and retail automobile dealerships, and has served on advisory boards for privately held companies, to help them with generational transition of their companies.
Kevin Medved is a graduate of Walsh University, where he studied business management and finance and received a BA and MBA..

    Other Interests

    • What did you want to be when you grew up?  I wanted to be a police officer, I had an uncle that was a police officer, and as a youngster I saw the impact he had on others lives. With that not coming to fruition, I found another way to make an impact for others in the business world.
    • What is your favorite way to spend free time? I recently renewed my passion for golf, I joined a traveling league that plays a different course every Saturday (In Ohio), made a lot of new friends to build relationships with while having some fun on the links.
    • What was your favorite vacation? My Honeymoon, we took a cruise and were able to enjoy 3 very different areas over a couple weeks. We made it to the Caribbean to swim with sea turtles and stingrays. Spent some time in Mexico, visiting some historical sites. Then ended the trip in New Orleans, where we got to see the historical city as well as an airboat trip to see alligators and other wildlife.

I greatly enjoy working with small to medium business owners to help them take their passion to the next level, to help them bring the dream to reality.
When I looked at the FocusCFO approach it matched so well with how my career has developed over the years, helping entrepreneurs build value in what they love to do.
