
CFO Consultant Candidate Profile
To be successful with FocusCFO, you need the ability to deliver a high level of CFO Services to clients and help expand our client base. In other words, you need the drive to sell your services and the experience to do the work.
Generally, this means having at least 15 years experience providing senior level finance and accounting services, including significant CFO experience. You should be current and up-to-date on local businesses and their needs, market trends and information.
With offices in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Dayton, we currently operate throughout Northeast, Central and Southwest Ohio. Our business model is balanced between business development and client delivery for all of our associates. Consequently, you must have strong understanding of how a CFO works with business owners and also a desire and willingness to be involved in local business development and group activities including the ability to positively develop business in your local market.
CFO Candidate Profile

BS or BA degree in accounting or a related field with 15 or more years of accounting or equivalent experience

Experience working in a small business (under $30 million in sales) is very helpful

Significant CFO-level experience

Well-rounded knowledge of all finance administration and accounting functions

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with accounting packages

Great interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with business owners and entrepreneurs
