Non-Profit Client Stories:
When a company unexpectedly loses its seasoned financial help on staff, replacing that experience and knowledge is a daunting task. If that company is a non-profit, with looming audits and budgeting decisions, finding a replacement becomes much more urgent. A Columbus-based incubator for educational programs faced just that situation and turned to Focus for somebody who could fill the financial role in their organization through the audit wrap-up.
The CEO was impressed with Focus' alertness and quick grasp of the situation, saying "to come in without the institutional knowledge and really do what it took to understand the context of our organization and what needed to be done in six weeks showed me that Focus was a good fit for our circumstances. Our Focus CFO played a pivotal role in closing out the fiscal year, setting the budget, and the auditing process."
Focus also worked through a complicated software program with the company, allowing them to maximize the software. "It was really helpful to have someone who could pull together the different components of the program to give us a powerful tool that has helped in all aspects of the business," the CEO remembers. Having that tool has allowed the company to concentrate on their mission to innovate and integrate educational programs and systems.
"Focus adds value to our organization," the CEO says. "It's a very professional company, and we were able to contract a talent-set that fit our needs."
