Dan Casey
Daniel Casey has over 30 years of far-reaching experience leading high-performance technology organizations in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. He has held senior level financial and operations positions at Sterling Commerce, Goal Systems, Lomas Information Systems and UCCEL Corporation. As COO for Sypherlink, Daniel played an instrumental role in developing and implementing a comprehensive business plan that enabled the organization to secure $3.5 million in venture funding. As President and COO of AGT International, Inc., a privately held software company, Daniel as able to obtain capital for business expansion by packaging and divesting lower margin organizational components.
Recently, as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for TechColumbus, Daniel analyzed complex business, financial and legal information to assess the merits and risks of potential investment opportunities for the Pre-Seed Investment Fund. He worked closely with selected portfolio companies to ensure they effectively executed business plans, reached established milestones and prepared for follow-on funding. Daniel successfully raised over $7 million of venture capital for his assigned companies.
Daniel holds a BBA in Management from The University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from The Ohio State University.
